PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
Personal Data We Collect Through Our Social Media Pages: We have pages on social media sites like Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook (“Social Media Pages”). When you interact with our Social Media Pages, we will collect Personal Data that you elect to provide to us, such as your contact details. In addition, the companies that host our Social Media Pages may provide us with aggregate information and analytics regarding the use of our Social Media Pages.
Personal Data We Receive Automatically From Your Use of the Service: When you visit, use and interact with the Service, we may receive certain information about your visit, use or interactions. For example, we may monitor the number of people that visit the Service, peak hours of visits, which page(s) are visited, broad geographical information, and navigation patterns. In particular, the following information is created and automatically logged in our systems:
Usage Information: We collect information about how you interact with our services. This includes information such as access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and third-party sites or service you were using before interacting with our services. In some cases, we collect this information through cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers
Transaction Information: We collect transaction details related to your use of our services, including the type of services you requested or provided, your order details, delivery information, date and time the service was provided, amount charged, distance traveled, and payment method. Additionally, if someone uses your promotion code, we may associate your name with that person.
Device information: We may collect information about the devices you use to access our services, including the hardware models, device IP address, operating systems and versions, software, file names, and versions, preferred languages, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, device motion information, and mobile network information
Location Information: Depending on your app settings or device permissions, we may collect your precise or approximate location information as determined through data such as GPS, IP address and WiFi.
Communications data: We enable users to communicate with each other through the WoodSpoon app. For example, we enable customers and chefs to message each other. To provide this service, WoodSpoon receives some information regarding the messages sent, including the date and time of the message, and the content of the communications. WoodSpoon may also use this information for customer support services (including to resolve disputes between users), for safety and security purposes, to improve our products and services and for analytics.
HOW WE USE PERSONAL DATA
WoodSpoon uses the information we collect to provide, personalize, maintain and improve our products and services. This includes using the information to:
To provide the Service, including the online marketplace in which individuals can sell food items and meal orders to customers
To create and update your account.
To verify your identity.
To respond to your inquiries, comments, feedback or questions;
To send administrative information to you, for example, information regarding the Service, requests for feedback, and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies;
To analyze how you interact with our Service;
To maintain and improve the content and functionality of the Service;
To develop new products and services;
To prevent fraud, criminal activity, or misuses of our Service, and to ensure the security of our IT systems, architecture and networks; and
To comply with legal obligations and legal process and to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you or other third parties.
Marketing. We may use your Personal Data to contact you to tell you about products or services we believe may be of interest to you. For instance, if you elect to provide your email or telephone number, we may use that information to send you special offers. You may opt-out of receiving emails by following the instructions contained in each promotional email we send you. You can also control the marketing emails and/or text messages you receive by updating your settings through your profile account. In addition, if at any time you do not wish to receive future marketing communications, you may contact us at email@example.com. If you unsubscribe from our marketing lists, you will no longer receive marketing communications but we may still contact you regarding the management of your account, other administrative matters, and to respond to your requests
SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
In certain limited circumstances set forth below we may share your Personal Data with third parties without further notice to you unless required by the law, as set forth below:
Vendors and Service Providers: To assist us in meeting business operations needs and to perform certain services and functions, we may share Personal Data with vendors and service providers, including providers of hosting services, cloud services and other information technology services providers, email communication software and email newsletter services, advertising and marketing services, payment processors, customer relationship management and customer support services, and web analytics services (for more details on the third parties that place cookies through the Sites, please see the “Cookies” section above). Pursuant to our instructions, these parties will access, process or store Personal Data in the course of performing their duties to us. We take commercially reasonable steps to ensure our service providers adhere to the “Security Standards" we apply to your Personal Data (as detailed below).
Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of all or a portion of our assets, or transition of service to another provider, your Personal Data and other information may be shared in the diligence process with counterparties and others assisting with the transaction and transferred to a successor or affiliate as part of that transaction along with other assets.
Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) prevent fraud, (iv) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Services, or the public, or (v) protect against legal liability.
Background Checks: We may share Personal Data with our partners who help us by running background checks on the personal chefs using the Service.

Please log in to your account or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need to change or correct your Personal Data.
Our Service is not directed to children who are under the age of 13. WoodSpoon does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Data to WoodSpoon through the Service please contact us email@example.com and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
You use the Service at your own risk. We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect Personal Data both online and offline from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. However, no Internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error-free. In particular, e-mail sent to or from us may not be secure. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via the Service or e-mail. Please keep this in mind when disclosing any Personal Data to WoodSpoon via the Internet. In addition, we are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Service, or third-party websites.
In certain circumstances providing Personal Data is optional. However, if you choose not to provide Personal Data that is needed to use some features of our Services, you may be unable to use those features. You can also contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to ask us to update or correct your Personal Data.
The Privacy Settings menu in the WoodSpoon app gives users the ability to set or update their location and contacts sharing preferences, and their preferences for receiving mobile notifications from WoodSpoon. Information on these settings, how to set or change these settings, and the effect of turning off these settings are described below.
Location Information: WoodSpoon uses customer's device location services to make it easier to get a safe, reliable delivery whenever you need one. Location data helps improve our services, including dropoffs, navigation, and customer support. You may enable/disable, or adjust, WoodSpoon's collection of customer location information at any time through the Location and Communication menu in the WoodSpoon app, or via the settings on your mobile device. If you disable the device location services on your device, your use of the WoodSpoon app will be affected.
Notifications - Account and Order Updates: WoodSpoon provides users with order status notifications and updates related to your account. These notifications are a necessary part of using the WoodSpoon app. You may enable/disable WoodSpoon's communication at any time through the Location and Communication menu in the WoodSpoon app.
Notifications - Discounts and News: You may enable WoodSpoon to send you “push” notifications about discounts and news from WoodSpoon. You may enable/disable these notifications at any time through the Location and Communication menu in the WoodSpoon app
Most mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have defined certain types of device data that apps cannot access without your consent. And these platforms have different permission systems for obtaining your consent. The iOS platform will alert you the first time the WoodSpoon app wants permission to access certain types of data and will let you consent (or not consent) to that request. Android devices will notify you of the permissions that the WoodSpoon app seeks before you first use the app, and your use of the app constitutes your consent.
